This week on "Legends of Tomorrow," the team is heading back to the Revolutionary War to protect George Washington from a familiar enemy face, Rip Hunter. During the closing minutes of last week's "Legends of Tomorrow" episode, Eobard Thawne has an idea to get the old Rip Hunter back. But the Legion of Doom needs from Rip is the location of the Spear of Destiny, so they interfered a bit with his nature just for fun.
As seen briefly, Rip now wants to mess with history. His first historic stop, 1776 to kill George Washington. But the Legends knows already the plot and they will try to stop their former captain.
The Legends Attempt To Save Rip Hunter
"When we head into episode 211, we've seen him shooting George Washington in the face or whatever." "For this reason, our heroes are heading back to the Valley Forge, American Revolution in 1776, because there's been this time abnormality. We know the Legion is out there cheating with time and making these aberrations, knowing that our guys are indebted to come back and fix it. And what could be flashier than shooting George Washington in his face."
Synopsis For The Episode "Turncoat"
A GOOD FIGHT - The minute Legends acquired Time Aberration information, they must travel to the winter of 1776 to protect George Washington and the American Revolutionary War. Regrettably, things don't go as they planned, forcing Sara (Caity Lotz) to send out Nate (Nick Zano) and Amaya (Maisie-Richardson-Sellers) to help.
Meanwhile, Jax (Franz Drameh) and Stein (Victor Garber) who are busy protecting the injured Waverider from their new enemy, are forced to step into roles that they don't think they are equipped for. Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell and Arthur Darvill also star.
Alice Troughton steered and supervised the episode and was written by Grainne Godfree & Matthew Maala. Fortunately, there are two new team members who Rip doesn't know, Nate and Amaya. So, the combination of this two will come up with a smart plot for Sara, at least until the Legends figure out a way to reverse whatever Eobard Thawne did to Rip's mind.
