This Is What Happened To A Mouse Soaked In Mountain Dew For 30 Days

Mountain Dew, one of the world’s most popular beverages, faced a major controversy that could have taken a fatal impact on its sales. Back in 2012, a certain Ronald Ball allegedly found a carcass of a mouse inside the can of his Mountain Dew. However, Pepsi Co., the soft drink’s brand owner, said that it is highly impossible for Mountain Dew is “very corrosive” that it can completely dissolve a mouse in 30 days.

Furthermore, Pepsi Co. said that if a mouse were trapped inside the can, Ball would not have seen any trace of it. This is because he consumed the Mountain Dew 15 months later it has been created. The mammal would have turned into a jellylike goo.

To test this claim, a video was posted on YouTube, which aims to test if it is really possible for a mouse carcass to be completely dissolved in Mountain Dew for 30 days. Inwards the picture, a carcass was located within a transparent jar glass. Later, a handful of Mountain Dew was poured over the carcase. It can be noted that in the fourth day of monitoring the sample, the lime-green liquid has already changed into maroon-like red color, which indicates the corrosion of the carcass, IFLScience.

Experts and health enthusiasts have already warned that carbonated drinks take a toll on our body. It rots our teeth, triggers weight gain, and even causes severe illnesses like type 2 diabetes. However, news of this lime-green citrus drink having the capability to dissolve tissue and bone raised qualms among consumers worldwide. However, a recent study used mice to prove that diabetes can be reversed through interspecies transplant.

Originally, the experiment was intended for 30 days only. However, the proponents of the study decided to extend it to 37 days to be “extra sure.” When the sample was opened, only a portion of the tail and a few remains have been found, which gave the proponents of the study the conclusion that Mountain Dew can indeed dissolve a carcass in 30 days.

The Verge. In 2016, it has been reported that an old man handed his grandson a bottle of Dr. Pepper. The next day, the kid found a mouse inside the bottle. Unfortunately, he already ingested half of the carcass.
