Mass Effect: Andromeda Is Revamping Its Dialog System

Bioware is making some major changes in terms of the dialog system for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" that will allow players to further express themselves. Meanwhile, Bioware has released a set of highly detailed character kits for fans like designers and cosplayers to use.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" Allows More Expression

Previously, Bioware mentioned that the upcoming "Mass Effect" game will not be making use of the Paragon/Renegade system as it had very close ties with the series protagonist, Commander Sheppard. Because of this, creative director Max Walters claimed that it would not make sense to include the said feature as Shepard is not reprising his role. Instead, PC Gamer reports that the new dialog system will revolve around the concept of agreeing/disagreeing.

This type of dialog also allows more ambiguity towards choices compared to the previous mechanic. In line with this, Paragon players would easily know how to distinguish their route as the dialog would simply give it away. This time, "Andromeda" players will have to select from four different options which Walters believes correlates more closely to traditional RPGs. With this new mechanic, he believes players will shift their attention from picking between good or bad to expressing themselves instead.

Bioware Releases Detailed Character Kits

That aside, Bioware has released some character kits to use as a point of reference, as per GameSpot. These kits come in high-quality PDFs and showcase the character in different angles and zoom levels. Specifically, the artworks feature the close-ups of the head and face, front and back torso, rotated leg shots, hand details, arm details, materials, color info, and textures.

Those who are interested in cosplaying the characters from the game could easily use these kits as a point of reference. Alternatively, artists will also be able to find some use out of these models. So far there is a total of five "Mass Effect: Andromeda" character kits ranging from Sara Ryder, Scot Ryder, Cora Harper, Liam Kosta and PeeBee.
