Nintendo Releases Video That Answers All Questions About The Switch Hardware

Nintendo just released a video explaining some of the details of its upcoming and much-anticipated gaming console, the Nintendo Switch.

The said video is just over three and a half minutes long but succeeds in answering a number of questions in people's minds regarding the Nintendo Switch. The video is titled the "Nintendo Switch Hardware Overview".

The video starts off by showing off the major components of the Switch - the Switch Dock and the Switch Console. It then illustrated how the Switch connects to a TV to turn it into a home video game console. The video also shows how the Switch can be played anywhere by simply removing the console from the Dock and attaching the JoyCon controllers on its sides.

The video continues by showing how the JoyCons can be used in a variety of ways. When on TV Mode, they can be placed on the JoyCon Grip or used individually in vertical or horizontal manners depending on the game. The JoyCons are slipped onto the sides of the console in Handheld Mode. While in this mode, users can still play while charging the device using a USB Type-C adapter. And with the TableTop Mode, the Switch can be propped using the stand behind the console while up to two players can play at the same time by sharing the screen. Other features detailed in the video include its WiFi connectivity for multiplayer gaming of up to 8 players.

Time pointed out that the video shows what the Nintendo Switch is initially capable of. The company has somewhat indicated before that the Switch is not limited to what has been shown so far in the unveiling event last month and in other reports since then which include the said hardware video. One rumor floated around is that the hybrid home and portable console will have support for other attachable accessories and devices.

The Nintendo Switch is due in three weeks particularly on March 3. Those who have pre-ordered the Switch will start receiving their console provided Nintendo successfully produces the two million it promised for the day of the launch.
