Historical Strategy Game 'Expedition: Viking' Gets An April 24 Release Date

Expeditions: Viking, is a historical strategy-RPG about forming, leading and fighting as a clan of Vikings with power and glory. The game was originally announced last May 2015 and as a sequel to Expeditions: Conquistador. Now, almost two years later, the game's developer, Logic Artists, announced that the game's sequel, Viking, will be released worldwide on April 24.

With Expedition: Viking, the players will take part as the newly appointed chieftain of a small Norse village, where they must control their power base and overpower their rival neighbors. Players also need to establish trade routes and just like the well-known "Vikings" series, alliances must be made.

The clan must send raiding expeditions to the wealthy British islands. Expeditions: Viking, set in the late 700s AD, is not actually a so-called "eye-in-the-sky" strategy game. Players must seek their very own adventure in far-away lands and defend their home base and Vikings from their enemies, both foreign and traitors.

With the original designs of their first game, Expeditions: Conquistador, the game's developer, Logic Artists team have also taken their fans and player suggestions to the game, revealing that the Expeditions sequel will have an upgradable player village, in which the controller or the clan must return to between expeditionary raids to build and protect.

Over the land travel and combat now exists in the game. The game has exploratory movement with regards to a smooth combat. Furthermore, players will be able to see their very own character in the game world, unlike any other role-playing characters that only converse and decide, but is well visible, well represented during travel and combat as a custom character.

Expeditions: Viking also features a ton branching dialogue system, which allows players to manage and react to player choices. Ali Emek, the Expeditions: Viking's producer exact words were, "We initially estimated a word count of 200,000, but we've decided to increase it by an additional 80,000 words to provide players with more content and give them more options and choices on how they progress through the story."
