Following the recent changes on the PTR, the "Overwatch" hero Bastion has a higher chance of survivability due to its new passive ability and healing skill. Here are some of the attacks and even ultimate abilities the omnic can now survive.
According to Destructoid, Bastion has gotten a new passive called "Ironclad" that reduces 35 percent of damage taken while in Sentry or Tank mode. While this ability alone seems pretty fair, Bastion can turn into an unkillable machine when combined with Ana's Nanoboost. Her ultimate ability will grant him an additional 50 percent damage reduction on top of its other various skills or armor.
Skills That the "Overwatch" Hero Bastion Can Tank
Needless to say, the omnic becomes an unkillable machine of death, especially when in tank mode. It seems like Blizzard has already addressed this issue to avoid any unfair combos when the patch hits the live servers. However, Bastion can still survive a wide array of skills using "Ironclad" and its buffed healing ability.
PVP Live reports the following primary attacks that Bastion can survive: Reaper's full clip, Pharah's full clip, Soldier's full clip and rockets, Junkrat's full clip, Zarya's full clip at 100 percent charge and all of Tracer's bullets (until healing runs out). Moreover, the omnic can also survive though Torbjorn's Level 2 Turret (can tank forever), Molten Core (until healing runs out) and Symmetra's turrets. Finally, Bastion can also tank Reaper, Genji and Tracer's ultimate abilities.
Hard Counters Against the Omnic
On the other hand, there are still some skills that can counter or kill the omnic. To begin with, the following characters can wipe out the robot with their ultimate abilities: Pharah, Roadhog, Soldier 76, McCree, Hanzo, D.Va and Tracer (if combined with a full clip of ammo). Furthermore, Roadhog can use his hook to pull the robot out of Sentry Mode while Reinhardt could swing his hammer for the same effect if he gets close enough.
It is worth noting that two of the same omnic hero can easily counter each other as well. For now, it seems like Reinhardt and Roadhog will pose the greatest threat against the "Overwatch" hero Bastion when the patch goes live. Fans can play the game on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
