Death Stranding: Actor Mads Mikkelsen Reveals More About The Game

Despite the lack of information around the upcoming "Death Stranding" game, actor Mads Mikkelsen reveals a bit more details bout the project. He details working with developer Hideo Kojima and the actors' roles during production.

Mads Mikkelsen on Working With Kojima Productions

"Hannibal" and "Casino Royale" star Mads Mikkelsen will be appearing in Hideo Kojima's mysterious project. So far, the latest information about his role in the game is that he plays an alien-like villain. Since then, fans have been speculating how he will ultimately affect the plot in the upcoming title.

However, GameSpot reports that the actor recently shared some details about his experience working on the project. To begin with, he is very enthusiastic regarding his partnership with veteran developer Kojima and believes that they will deliver a "great product." As for production, he claimed that the development team creates "everything" in the game.

During development, Mikkelsen claimed that the actors are just a "base" while everything else is built from the ground up. He added that there are no sets and everything the actors do is all up to the imagination. For this reason, they have to put a great deal of trust towards the developers throughout the entire process.

On a different note, the actor shared his experiences working with the newly-created Kojima Productions studio. He stated that everyone is creative and he sees the effort that they give towards the project. "It's amazing," he concluded.

Other Celebrities Working on "Death Stranding"

Mikkelsen is not the only actor that will appear in the upcoming video game. "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus and "Crimson Peak" director Guillermo del Toro will also have their own roles to play. Similarly, Kojima personally requested for a collaboration with the two said actors following the events of "Silent Hills," as per IGN.

For now, fans will have to wait for further news regarding the upcoming game. Judging by the interview, it seems like this will be one of Kojima's toughest projects yet. "Death Stranding" has no current release date as of now but will eventually release on the PS4.
