‘Feud: Bette and Joan’ Preview Is Here! Characters Are Mesmerizing

"Feud: Bette and Joan" is a much-talked-about upcoming film series, and it tells about the overtly publicized rivalry between Joan Crawford (Jessica Lange) and Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon) during their collaboration on the thriller "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" The infamous rivalry ran for decades.

Before the teaser was released, FX relied mostly on word-of-mouth marketing through social media. Now, after still images and teasers, the first official trailer has been released, and the characters are simply mesmerizing.

The Teaser Takes Viewers To The Egos Involved

According to A.V Club, the recently released full trailer for the latest Ryan Murphy anthology series, Olivia de Havilland (Catherine Zeta-Jones) calmly explains: "Feuds are never about hate. Feuds are about pain."

Catherine Zeta-Jones's Olivia de Havilland recounts the tale of Bette Davis and Joan Crawford's rivalry in this 90-second spot, Harper's Bazaar said. This teaser takes viewers to the egos involved and how director Robert Aldrich (Alfred Molina) and Warner Bros.'s Jack Warner (Stanley Tucci) manipulated them, and pitted them against each other.

Ryan Murphy Is Already Talking About Future Episodes

Most of the action in "Feud: Bette and Joan" is centered on "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" While Davis and Crawford feud on set, Aldrich and Warner made sure the feud continues to simmer. The tabloid storyline gave the picture's biggest source of publicity. Crawford also thinks that her animosity with Davis would be a good publicity for the movie, and it is. However, this feud also electrifies their on-screen rapport.

Another promo which hit yesterday repeats some scenes that we have already seen, but introduces Kathy Bates' Joan Blondell who talks about the "chemical" hatred between the actresses. "Feud: Bette and Joan" is yet to premiere on March 5, but Murphy is already talking about the upcoming season. The series will air on FX.
