Many photographers and filmmakers will surely check this out.

Sigma's New Art Lenses

The Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG HSM was the first lens in the Art line of the company. It was launched back in 2012. According to a review from Cinema 5D, the 20mm F1.4, one of the lenses in the art line, was a superb choice for photographers and even video shooters. Recently, Sigma releases more lenses and all of it will come in various mount options which are the SIGMA, Nikon or Canon. We have summed up the details of announcements for you. First, let’s look at the 14mm F1.8:

The 14mm F1.8 DG HSM Art

Based on its first announcements, Sigma seems to love racking up the “world’s first” titles. Now, they’re claiming another one with their world’s first and only f/1.8 ultra-wide-angle lens. The Sigma 14mm F1.8 covers a 35mm full-frame sensor on the camera shot. The Sigma 14mm lens includes 3 FLD (Low Dispersion) glass elements and 4 SLD (Super Low Dispersion) glass elements in order to prevent the lens from suffering in aberration. The ultra-wide angle lens also includes an HSM (Hyper-Sonic Motor) autofocus, which offers the users a “highly responsive autofocus photography," which is usually good for portrait photos.

The 24-70mm F/2.8 DG OS HSM Art

While the Art line of Sigma tends to get most of the love, there are some zoom lenses in there as well. Sigma will carry an Art series variant of the popular 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, complete with its own optical image stabilization. Inside the zoom function are three SLD glass elements, as well as four aspherical elements, in order to cut down on aberration. Sigma also assures users for more torque in the AF system for a more faster performance. Also, the lens will have more metal in the barrel part of the lens to enhance both durability and rigidity.

The 135mm F/1.8 DG HSM Art

According to PopPhoto, the 135mm F/1.8 DG HSM Art has a total of 13 elements in 10 groups and uses Sigma’s very own floating focus mechanism. It also has a hypersonic motor because other users might expect it from this since it's a high-end lens. The material of this variant promises that cameras up to 50-megapixels will have a great performance without getting maxed out of its resolution.

The 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG HSM Art

The 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG HSM zoom lens features a new and improved optical stabilizer. Aside from that, it also has an incredible minimum shooting distance of 160cm as well as a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.8. Because of this, the lens can shoot either from a distance or up close. The Nikon mount version of this 100-400mm lens includes an electromagnetic mechanism that supports the appropriate signals from the body of the camera. Sigma ensures the precision control and permanent Auto Exposure performance even while the photographer is continuesly shooting.
