The recent Final Fantasy XV patch 1.05 has increased the level cap from 99 to 120. Fortunately, there are ways players can farm level their way to the 120 level cap in a matter of hours.
Leveling Up Quickly
Naturally, level 99 characters will reach their goal much quicker. Still, players with character level below 99 can catch up using these new EXP farming methods. Currently the EXP needed to reach level 120 from 99 is estimated to be around 26 million points.
New FFXV Farming EXP Method
The quickest way to level up after patch 1.05 is by Cactuars hunting which is a newly included timed quest. Players can begin the quest near the Cnuscherry Plains.
Before embarking on the quest though, characters should wear and use items that can grant added EXP points. These include Moogle charms for EXP Bonus and the Nixperience Band which prevents wasting EXP on camping or resting. Eating food such as the Lasagna al Forno will double the EXP points earned by the characters.
Equipments such as the Black Hood will help characters avoid getting hit. Meanwhile, the Lucii Ring is quite useful during this quest since it has a spell that heals characters of their damages.
Final Fantasy XV players who tried this method claimed that they were able to gain around 140,000 EXP in under five minutes. The quest though can give up to 400,000 EXP points. Players just need to use the eight rare coins and cast the Expericast spell just before killing the Cactuars.
The EXP points are also rewarded on the spot without the need of going to the quest giver. FFXV players who have earned three million EXP should go to Hotel Altissia at once. They could triple their EXP points there at a mere price of 30,000 gil. A video walkthrough of this quest is also available here. The latest patch also allows Final Fantasy XV players to view the game at 60fps, according to playstationlifestyle. This means players can repeat older quests such as the Pitioss Ruins but with a better screen view.
