At MWC 2017, Samsung has unveiled its next iPad-rival. The new tablet has leaked on numerous occasions over the last few months. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 was one of the best Android tablets on the tech industry and it has aged very well which is why buyers who want to upgrade may wonder what new features the new, Galaxy Tab S3 brings.

Samsung announced a new flagship tablet called the Galaxy Tab S3. The latest device is said to feature enhanced mobile entertainment experience that can support 4K definition video and an enhanced graphics chip for gaming. The Tab S3 has a 9.7-inch 1536 x 2048 Super AMOLED display for brighter, richer colors. Powered by a quad-core Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM, it comes with 32GB of built-in storage, which is expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card. Moreover, there's an optional 4G/LTE and under the hood is a massive 6,000mAh. The Galaxy Tab S3 sports a 13-megapixel autofocus snapper on the rear capable of shooting 4K video and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies with a front-mounted fingerprint reader. The Samsung Tab S3 is the first Galaxy tablet to come with quad stereo speakers tuned by AKG by HARMAN for premium visual and listening experiences.

Galaxy tab s2 has a 4.30-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 pixels by 800 pixels. Powered by 1.2GHz dual-core it comes with 1GB of RAM, it is packed with an 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. As for the cameras, an 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel front snapper for selfies. Running Android 4.1 and under the hood is a 1650mAh removable battery, it includes extra features like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Infrared, FM, 3G and Sensors on the phone including Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope.
The Verdict
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 brings a lot of updates compared to the Galaxy Tab S2, and that includes processing power, camera enhancements, and software experience.The inclusion of the S Pen is a big bonus too, while the support for HDR and the introduction of quad stereo speakers will also appeal to some. Overall, the Galaxy Tab S3 is the clear winner and worth to upgrade.
