Triple Threat: 2017 Acura NSX vs 2017 Nissan GT-R vs 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo

An epic three-way battle has recently taken place and it involved the 2017 Acura NSX, Nissan GT-R and Porsche 911 Turbo. The purpose of the battle is to see which among these fast cars can reach 150 miles per hour in a quicker manner.

The New Blood

According to a report, the 2017 Acura NSX, Nissan GT-R and Porsche 911 Turbo share a few common characteristics. Each car has more than 500 horsepower from turbocharged six-cylinder engines delivered by a dual-clutch transmission through an all-wheel drive (AWD) drivetrain configuration. Accordingly, the Porsche Turbo and Nissan GT-R have previously gone head to head to see which can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour and the former has stood victorious over the latter. This time, the 2017 Acura NSX joins the battle to make things more interesting.

An Epic Three-Way Battle

Auto Evolution reported that the epic three-way battle is a match to see which car gets the coveted "King of the Airfield" crown. Unlike the previous battles of the Posche 911 Turbo and Nissan GT-R before, this battle is a race to see which one can accelerate to 150 miles per hour in the shortest possible time.

The Expected Result

Most people would expect for the Porsche 911 Turbo to win the race and that expectation does not disappoint. It was clear from the start that the Porsche 911 Turbo has the upper-hand in the battle and the actual race proved it. In the zero to 60 miles per hour, the Porsche 911 Turbo clocked at 2.8-seconds while the Nissan GT-R and Acura NSX were even at 3.1-seconds.

The Porsche 911 Turbo once again proved its dominance by clocking at 6.4-seconds from zero to 100 miles per hour. The 2017 Acura NSX and Nissan GT-R lagged behind with times of 7.0-seconds and 6.9 seconds respectively. Finally, the Porsche 911Turbo snatched the "King of the Airfield" crown with a time of 15.0-seconds. The Nissan GT-R came at second place with a time of 16.9-seconds while the 2017 Honda Acura NSX clocked in at 17.8 seconds.
