NFL Trade Rumors: 49ers Want Kirk Cousins; Eagles To Trade Mychal Kendricks

There are NFL trade rumors that the 49ers are doing their best to acquire Kirk Cousins. However, it looks like the Washington are not letting go of the quarterback yet. Meanwhile, it was revealed that the Eagles are looking for a trade involving their veteran linebacker Mychal Kendricks.

According to CSN Philly, Kendricks hasn't been active in the ground since 2015. The player had a shaky performance that year and fell out of favor of the new coaching staff. The player had $1.8 million in salary cap savings. The report added that Kendricks himself is not happy with his role in the team.

If utilized properly, Kendricks could be a big catch for other teams. Before his down time in the '15 season, the 6-foot player is considered among the top linebackers with a record of at least 11.0 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, and 3 interceptions. Kendricks can be a weapon in defense especially with his ability as a pass-rusher.

On the other hand, the San Francisco 49ers are expected to push hard for Kirk Cousins. NFL trade rumors revealed that 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan is determined to acquire his former Redskins protégé though the Washington Redskins already voiced their strong intent of keeping him to the team.

"He is not going anywhere," Ian Rapoport said in an interview. "Really, what the Redskins did was answer one of the biggest questions of the 2017 offseason with one move. They decided that they are not going to trade him to the San Francisco 49ers, they're not going to trade him anywhere. He's going to be their quarterback for the next year and that is that."

NFL trade rumors broke on Tuesday that Cousins also wants to go to 49ers if things don't go well with the Redskins. Cousins and Shanahan have a history. During Cousins' first two years in the NFL, Shanahan was Washington's offensive coordinator. According to a report, there are no other teams that could make a more sizable offer than 49ers. San Francisco is in need of a good quarterback.
