Disney and Lucasfilm have decided to continue, by popular demand, the sequel of "Star Wars Rebels" cartoon. Good news bucket heads, the fourth season will be aired later this year.
An official announcement is posted in Star Wars website, "Star Wars Rebels" season 4 will have the premiere on Disney XD this Fall. Production is underway and it will still be the set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
Upcoming Fourth Season
Circulating details online about the fourth season revealed that waiting is just not going to be too long. Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida is happening this April and it will share more details about the upcoming fourth season
It will be more interesting how the events of Rebels stretch since the series is still considered to be part of the official "Star Wars" tenet. Fans want to know what will happen to Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and the rest of the rebels. After all, the movie and cartoon are seemingly indifferent sequel story.
Darth Maul Extends Villainess
Another interesting part of "Star Wars Rebels" is its reinstatement of eminent Star Wars villains. In current third season, Darth Maul has been a big name of an adversary that seek Obi-Wan Kenobi. Yet again, Darth Maul has been popular but his fate it still left to be described. Hopefully, the fourth season gives a description about Darth Maul after the events of A New Hope as we never hear from the actual movies.
It's possible that "Star Wars Rebels" might be ending their story soon and Disney/Lucasfilm could direct a new series that is set between "Return of the Jedi" and The Force Awakens." That timeline alone is yet to be explored. Hanging story about the origins of Snoke and how Kylo Ren became bad yet to unfold.
