The latest chapter of “Fairy Tail” has continued the story of the manga’s final arc. It tackles the fight between Natsu and Zeref as well as the one between August and Gildarts. But in an effort to help his father, Larcade ends up getting attacked instead of being thanked.
'Fairy Tail' Chapter 525: The Boy Unloved By His Father
The first parts of the latest chapter of “Fairy Tail” revealed the fight between August and Gildarts, which could be a one-sided match since August seems to be stronger than Gildarts. In fact, Gildarts is struggling with the fight, his attacks not making that much of an effect on August. To save Gildarts from defeat and humiliation of tainting his reputation, Cana busts in to help her father.
But Gildarts, who have shown his love and dedication for his daughter, reprimanded her for staying away at a safe distance, even threatening August if anything happens to Cana. This scene has troubled August, seeing the bond between the father and daughter, he asked them why this was not the case with Zeref and Larcade. It was a question that was more heart-breaking than baffling.
Larcade has always been loyal to Zeref and he has always shown his best to impress his father, longing for acceptance and recognition. As seen in the latest chapter, even when Larcade was already beaten up and exhausted, he rushed to help Zeref. Once he got to the scene, he put a spell on Natsu that makes him sleepy and Larcade tells his father to quickly kill Natsu. But surprisingly, Zeref wasn’t happy about this and instead attacks Larcade.
'Fairy Tail' Chapter 526 Predictions
Zeref’s attack on Larcade was clearly devastating but it’s uncertain if he has been killed. But knowing Hiro Mashima, who likes to revive characters out of the blue with the craziest reason, even if Larcade dies, he might just be brought back from the dead. Unless Larcade plays a bigger role, maybe that was the last time fans will be seeing him since it’s also already the manga’s last arc.
Larcade is the son of Mavis and Zeref and Hiro Mashima has yet to expound on how this happened. With Mavis asking the rest of the Fairy Tail guild members to regroup at a safe distance, she runs off to where Natsu is and she will most likely meet her former lover and her son. Their meeting might open a story wherein Mavis saves her son or she goes full-on powerful against Zeref, who has just turned back into his crazy powerful self. The reunion itself may turn into an opportunity for Natsu and Fairy Tail to win the fight.
