Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a fresh new take on the Zelda franchise with its uniquely charming open world featuring its own brand of storytelling. As much as we love Link's new blue tunic, nostalgia players still appreciate any kind of salute to the franchise and Nintendo's past Legend of Zelda games. Here's a guide on how to unlock every Green Tunic in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
How To Get All Zelda Green Tunics
Most of these Green Tunics in Zelda: Breath of the Wild that pay homage to past Zelda games can only be obtained through Amiibos. To scan Amiibos, hit start or plus during the game, click options then allow Amiibo scanning. The option will be usable as a rune accessible through the Sheikah Slate, a rune that when activated, will summon a circle on the ground where the bonuses will appear. It's better to do this in a safe place free of precarious cliffs, enemies and water to avoid losing the items.
Despite the price, Amiibos may be worth the money since they can be used once per day and all Amiibos are compatible in the game. There are a lot of Green Tunics obtainable through Amiibo in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Four to be specific and they are Time, Twilight, Wind and Hero. Each is divided into three individual pieces (head, armor, trousers) and each piece can only be found from one Amiibo scan at a time; there's also a possibility of getting duplicates.
Since players can only get one chest per day from each Amiibo, there is a way to make the process faster. There is nothing that a quick date change wouldn't fix to get the set fast in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Although, it's suggested to change the date to the past far enough before starting so the player wouldn't have to come across that date again. Simply scan the Amiibo, get the items, move the date a day, close the game, then scan the Amiibo again for more free stuff until the set is complete.
How To Get A Green Tunic Without An Amiibo
So far, there is only one Green Tunic that can be obtained without an Amiibo but it is difficult and a bit of a grind according to Alex from Arekkz Gaming (video seen below). The set is called the Breath of the Wild and is the game's very own iconic green set. To get the set, however, Link must complete all 120 Shrines and one final quest in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
