Market Analyst Says That The iPhone 8 Will Look Better Than The Galaxy S8

The Galaxy S8 is currently the most talked-about gadget in the mobile world. Considering that the device is just a few weeks shy from its official unveiling, there's no doubt that fans' excitement about it is building up quite rapidly. Nevertheless, even though the Galaxy S8 will be Samsung's latest and most high-end smartphone ever, critics still believe that Apple's upcoming iPhone will beat Samsung's best when it comes to appearance.

Trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities said that the Galaxy S8 lacks "attractive selling points" and will highly likely fall behind the iPhone 8 when it comes to physical appearance. As per Phone Arena, the popular analyst put emphasis on the high-end iPhone's alleged OLED screen. Although there is no solid explanation as to how this display tech could help iPhone 8's sales, there's good chance that it will make people appreciate Apple's device even better. There's no doubt that the upcoming iPhone 8 will be leaps and bounds ahead of its predecessor, so it's safe to assume that the phone will hype consumers up more than past iPhones ever did.

As per 9to5Mac's report, Kuo said that apart from its full screen, the Galaxy S8 lacks sufficiently attractive selling points. With that, the iPhone 8 could draw a bigger crowd than Samsung's 2017 flagship. The analyst said that this could slow the Galaxy S8's sales performance.

Additionally, there is likewise a good chance that the Galaxy S shipment will also see a decline this year. Apart from having an intensely competitive rival, the Galaxy S8 is also expected to have a hard time beating the Galaxy S7's sales performance. Kuo said that the S7 was Samsung's single flagship phone last year because of Note 7's cancellation. Hence, the sale of the S7 was unusually high. With that being no longer the case this year, a slower momentum is expected for the Galaxy S8 shipments.
