Activision has made an announcement that the first seasonal event for the Call of Duty will have a St. Patrick's Day theme. Operation: Shamrock & Awe is an event that would last for three weeks while bringing free supply drops, a latest, free map, two free camos and a new character.
The emerald green supply drops will have a limit of one per week upon logging in, and they do not also stack, therefore it is better to make sure to have them downloaded before 11:59 PM every week until the end of the event. The new map is Downpour with a little added sunshine and a hint of Irish charm, and it also includes a rainbow. Playing on the map will give players in-game challenges that will give them the chance to earn the holiday-themed weapon camo.
Upon the completion of the in-game challenge within the next three weeks will give additional two exclusive St. Patrick's Day-themed weapon camos, that can be described as the Shamrockin' Folium and the rainbowtized Prism. The challenges will vary according to its weapon class and it will not be available when the event ends, according to VG247.
There will be three new St. Paddy's themed collections, and it will include reticules, camos, calling cards and emblems. The Luck collection completion will lead to an unlocking of a new character, the Leprechaun, which will also give a Shillelagh melee weapon and Pot o'Gold will be rewarding a unique calling card.
Once the player accumulates all of the three collections, the Darren Graves Cosgrave will be unlocked as a new character. This character will only be available within the duration of the event. Thus, it is suggested to keep collecting. Operation: Shamrock & Awe had already gone live as of the moment and will end on April 3 at 12:01AM PDT.
