Bethesda is releasing its game Prey in a few days for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Not much is known about this new game but the well-known fact is that it's neither a sequel nor a remake of the 2006 game.
It is, however, described as a "reimagining" but Bethesda and its developer Arkane Studios, the same ones who brought the Dishonored series, refused to have any discussion about Prey nor were there any significant marketing for the game. For those who are curious, here is everything they have to know about Prey.
Prey 2 Was Cancelled
Prey 2 was set to release back in 2014 but the title was canceled due to quality concerns when rights went to Bethesda. In 2016, Bethesda and Arkane Studios announced Prey and called it a hybrid of narrative, action, and RPG. The new Prey game cut all ties to the original Prey released in 2006.
Prey Release Date And Price
Prey by Bethesda and Arkane Studios is set to release on May 5, 2017. The game will be available on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It will be priced $60.00 per copy.
Prey Story
The story of Prey is set in the year 2032 where the player awakens aboard a space station named Talos I as a subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity, but things go terribly wrong. Hostile aliens ran rampant inside Talos I and it's the player's goal to survive and uncover the secrets of the space station. Players will play as Morgan Yu and they must unravel and discover the truth about their past.
Prey Gameplay
Talos I has a wide array of tools and items at Morgan Yu's disposal, however way they want to survive and eliminate the aliens known as Typhon. Aside from guns, Morgan Yu can also use powerful abilities through neuromods injections similar to BioShock's Plasmids. As a first-person shooter, Prey still has plenty of guns to choose from.
