Many gamers are eagerly waiting for Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) and a recent twitter post, which says that the upcoming game will get real-time weather effects, has increased the excitement.
The confirmation of GTA V having real-time weather effects comes courtesy a tweet posted by GameStopUK which says "#GTAV's real-time weather effects will create furious storms, rough ocean waves and rain forming puddles in mud."
The upcoming GTA V won't be the first of the GTA games to feature weather effects, but the real-time aspect in the next version of the game may make exploring Los Santos a difficult task for gamers if weather conditions are not right. Players may have to consider the actual weather when they plan their next big moves.
GameStop didn't reveal a lot of information on the real-time weather effects for GTA V, but we should hope to hear more from the game retailer or the game developer, Rockstar Games, as we head closer to the release date of the game on Sept. 17 this year. Rockstar has confirmed the game for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and Xbox 360.
Rockstar has also announced pre-order bonuses for GTA V, as well as two special editions for the game.
The news of real-time weather effects in GTA V seems to have overwhelmed some GTA fans. A gamer said on N4G "That would be freakin cool! And the real time weather effects is amazing! I want a PS4 version as the only games I'm getting this year for my PS3 are some indie games and the last few titles from Sony."
Another gamer said, "It should include rare earthquakes being in LA, that would be awesome ;) So hyped for this game!"
The real-time weather effects may be a step up from the weather effects in the previous GTA games; however, the game may not be able to show severe weather conditions like earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes.
Rockstar has not confirmed any information on real-time weather effects in the upcoming version of the game, so we will have to wait and see what exactly the developers have in store for us in the GTA V.
