Google is finally rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo for all the Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player and Pixel C tablet smartphones. The company has launched Android's latest version of OS 8.0 Oreo last week. Since Android Oreo announcement, several smartphone makers have already announced update timelines for their respective devices.
According to the GSMArena, all Google devices across the globe, which are Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5 X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player and Pixel C tablet, are receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update. In the meantime, the company has also listed the OTA file of the latest update on its website and one can download it for side-loading.
Additionally, users who opted to Android Beta Program are also receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update. Recently, Verizon has also started rolling out the build of Android 8.0 Oreo to its Pixel and Pixel XL units and it looks like all the major carriers across the globe are receiving the latest updates.
Google has made some tweaks in the build number of the smartphones. The build number is OPR6.170623.012 for the Pixel and Pixel XL, while Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X has a build number OPR6.170623.013 is for Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. The OTA file for the Android 8.0 Oreo update is also available Pixel C tablet as well which was released in December 2015. Build number for the Google Pixel C with Android 8.0 Oreo is OPR6.170623.010, as reported by NDTV.
For those who are unaware, Google's latest mobile operating system update is aiming to improve security while adds new features. Some of the popular Android 8.0 Oreo features listed by Google consist faster boot times, Notification dots, auto fill, and smart text selection, redesigned Settings, revamped Google Now, and Picture in Picture mode among others.
