According to LG, you should remove the battery first and then clean the device in running water so that they can get rid of the dust, dirt, or other things that entered your phone. After that, dry your device in a well-ventilated area that is out of direct sunlight.

One of the things that Samsung wants you to keep in mind if your device does get wet is to make sure to turn it off right away. Next, make sure to remove the SIM card and battery right away.
