Adam West Replaces Robert Pattinson in 'The Batman' Deepfake Video

CNET featured a new deepfake video remake of "The Batman" where Adam West takes the place of Pattinson. Pattinson is the latest star to don the iconic DC Comics caped crusader's cape.

A new video based on "The Batman" has been uploaded by the crew at YouTube channel Corridor, a visual effects collective that has been making viral content for over a decade. They've taken video from "The Batman" and alternatively used deepfake technology and savvy editing to swap Pattinson with West in their next pop culture outing.

The video accentuated the silliness of the latest Batman film by superimposing "WHAM!" and "POW!" graphics over moments like the subway platform opening.

West portrayed the masked vigilante in 120 episodes of the 1960s television series Batman, as well as the 1966 movie Batman. West died in 2017 at the age of 88 from leukemia.

The juxtaposition of "The Batman's" gloomy aesthetics with the old, wackier look of the '60s Batman is nicely represented in the deepfake video.

Is Robert Pattinson the Best Batman to Date?

Below is a list of things Robert Pattinson does better than any other Batman actor, courtesy of CBR.com.

He's Got The Best Batman Voice In A Live-Action Movie

The way Batman actors change their voices is one of the most fascinating features of the franchise. Kevin Conroy's voice was arguably the finest at switching between Bruce Wayne and Batman in the animated Batman, but Pattinson is the best of the live-action Batman. His Batman has a distinct voice from Bruce's, yet it's never absurd.

He's Had the Most Batman Moments Ever

The Batmobile is inextricably linked to the Batman legend, and "The Batman" takes a unique approach to it. Instead of an impossible supercar, the Batmobile in the film is a souped-up muscle car, which viewers don't get a good look at until the movie's pursuit scene near the end when it jumps through a fiery explosion to slam into Penguin's car.

He Is, in Fact, a Detective

In the movies, Batman's detective skills were either lacking or reliant on equipment. In the comics, Batman isn't always the finest detective, but he's better than most of the film adaptations. In contrast, Pattinson's Batman is a true detective.
