It won't take long before we finally lay our eyes on the latest Motorola Razr 2022 or the Motorola Razr 3 as reliable leaker Evan Blass gave us the first glimpse of the new gadget.
With two upgraded cameras on its back, a 50MP f / 1.8 main sensor and a 13MP sensor for macro and ultra-wide shots, the foldable phone codenamed Maven is a unit to watch for.
What Are the Specs of 'Maven'?
The new Motorola unit with the codename Maven has an outer display larger than the previous Motorola Models. The Motorola 2020 unit and original Razr 2019 have 2.7 inches outer display attached.
91mobiles pointed out that Motorola Razr 3 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It will also be available with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and with 256GB or 512GB of built-in storage.
According to Blass, the Razr 3 comes with an FHD+ interior folding display and a hole-punch 32MP selfie camera.
More excitingly, The Verge reported that Motorola is rumored to release a a "Plus" variant, presumably with an upgraded, but as-yet-unknown, chip.
Maven is said to be available in Quartz Black and Tranquil Blue. As 91mobiles said, Razr 3 promises to deliver the same significant generation-to-generation changes that we've seen other early units to the foldable category. But this will come along with the premium pricing.
Motorola is expected to launch Maven in the next few months. It will first ship to China in late July or early August. A global rollout will follow later.
Is Razr 3 Any Better than Motorola 2019 and 2020?
We can make so much judgment before a phone actually comes out, but on paper at least, Motorola Razr 3 seems promising. For once it has a top specs, second: it has a better camera, and of course we can't ignore the classic flip foldable form factor.
Motorola Razr 3 will be up against the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, which is expected to arrive in August. However, we can expect Motorola owner Lenovo to find ways for Razr to attract potential buyers. After all Razr's name is quite popular.
It appears as though Motorola Razr can satisfy what phone buyers want in a new phone, better specs, better photos from their devices, and more options to choose from. This makes the absence of Motorola 2021 quite acceptable.
Motorola canceled the release of Razr 2021. This suggested that the company might skip a year for it to work on the perfect foldable.
Subsequent leaks have suggested the rumor to be true — Motorola is building the perfect Razr 3 with a top-end more powerful that the Razr 2019 and 2020.
According to a report from TechRadar, the leak also pointed to a redesigned phone with a smaller notch, a 50MP main camera with 32MP front-facing and 13MP ultra-wide companions, a 120Hz AMOLED screen and up to 512GB storage.
This new leak from Blass supports previous rumors about the Motorola Razr 3.
