'Call of Duty: Black Ops 6' Season 2 Features an Upcoming 'TMNT' Crossover, per Leakers

An exciting Season 2 is coming to "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6."

Activision Blizzard recently dropped the update for Season 2 of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6," showcasing the latest developments for the popular first-person shooter. However, leaks have surfaced suggesting that an upcoming "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT)" crossover will be part of Season 2, but has yet to be officially revealed.

This wouldn't be the first collaboration between Activision Blizzard and "TMNT," as past "Call of Duty" games have included the iconic New York-based heroes as skins.

'Call of Duty: Black Ops 6' Season 2 Leaks: 'TMNT' Collab Incoming

Two well-known "Call of Duty" leakers, realityuk and HeyImAlaix, recently uncovered files in the "Black Ops 6" Season 2 update pointing to a "TMNT" crossover. While the details of the crossover remain unclear, the leakers confirmed the discovery within the update files.

Other sources have corroborated the leak, suggesting the "TMNT" crossover will be similar to the "Call of Duty: The Boys" collaboration. In that event, players could use the powers of operator heroes, though it led to some players becoming overpowered compared to those with standard skins.

When to Expect the 'Call of Duty x TMNT' Crossover?

There is no official word on when the "Call of Duty x TMNT" crossover will be available, especially if it will launch during Season 2. Activision Blizzard is known for offering mid-season updates, so "TMNT's" arrival could coincide with an event and a special game mode, according to the leaks. This may be one of the most significant collaborations since "Black Ops 6" launched.

'Call of Duty' and Its Famed Crossovers

While Epic Games and "Fortnite" are often regarded as industry leaders in crossovers, Activision Blizzard is no stranger to high-profile collaborations in "Call of Duty." In "Modern Warfare II" and "Modern Warfare III," the company brought the "Dune" franchise into the game, offering operator bundles based on characters from the series.

The "Fallout" series, adapted by Amazon Prime Video, also made its way into "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III" and "Warzone 2.0," featuring Vaulties and other iconic characters. Other collaborations have included "Godzilla vs. Kong," "The Boys," "TMNT," and music icons like Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj.

The latest leak hints at another major crossover with Netflix's "Squid Game," though details on what that collaboration will entail remain unclear. With numerous improvements and upgrades coming in Season 2, it appears Activision Blizzard has another surprise in store for gamers, as the "TMNT" collaboration gets ready for its return.
