New Lenovo Legion 7 gaming laptops are coming to town very soon.
Lenovo recently revealed the latest generation of its Legion 7 Series laptops said to be "the world's most mobile and powerful 16-inch gaming laptops."
The Lenovo Legion 7 Series gaming laptops are the company's highest-end gaming laptops for 2022, according to The Verge.
Lenovo Slim 7i and 7 Specifications
Demanding gamers will love to see what the new Lenovo Slim laptops have to offer.
The new Lenovo Legion 7i and Legion 7 come equipped with a 16-inch QHD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a refresh rate of 165Hz, and Dolby Vision HDR. The laptops' displays have a maximum brightness of 1,250 nits DCI-P3 calibrated space coverage, and TÜV eye-safe certification.
The two laptops also allow users to manually change between three-panel options for smoother eSports gameplay, everyday use, and cinematic visuals. Thanks to this, the laptops allow users to enjoy a refresh rate of up to 240Hz.
It also has a 99.99Whr battery, which is compatible with Super Rapid Charge, allowing the laptop to be charged to 70% in 30 mins, while an hour and 20-minute charge gives you a full battery.
Both laptops have a 1.5mm RGB-capable keyboard with 100% anti-ghosting, WASD Force Sensors, and four switchable sets.
The two laptops also have 2x2W Harman Super Linear Speaker System and Smart Amp with Nahimic audio.
The difference between the two laptops is that the Legion 7i has support for NVIDIA G-Sync due to its NVIDIA GPU (NVIDIA GeForce 3070-3080 ti Laptop GPU) and either an Intel Core i7 or i9 processor.
On the other hand, the Legion 7 has support for AMD FreeSync Premium thanks to its AMD GPU (AMD Radeon RX6700M-RX6850M GPU) and processor.
Additionally, both laptops come with Lenovo's Legion AI Engine 2.0, which allows the laptop to predict fan curves and balance GPU and CPU resource outputs in real-time, depending on what game is being played. This AI engine enables the laptop to deliver the best performance for the games you play.
You wouldn't have to worry about the laptop's temperature, either. The AI Engine 2.0 intelligently boosts Lenovo's Legion Coldfront 4.0 thermal system to cool down the laptops' GPU and CPU. Meanwhile, their thermal regulators, which include thinner fan blades, phase-change thermal compound coating, larger surface area, and sub-keyboard intake vents, provide them with improved airflow and faster heat transfer.
Both laptops have an upgradable PCIe SSD of 512GB (with 1TB and 2TB upgrade options). However, users who want the Legion 7i can choose between an upgradable 16 GB 4800 MHz DDR5 RAM (with a 32GB upgrade option) or a downgradable 32GB OC Memory 5600M Mhz RAM (with 16GB downgrade option).
Meanwhile, the Legion 7 can only have the upgradable 16 GB 4800 MHz DDR5 RAM.
Lenovo Legion Slim Laptops Specifications
The two laptops' slim counterparts have almost the same specifications. However, there are some differences here and there.
First off, the Legion Slim 7i has access to an Intel Core i5 processor, while the Slim 7 gets an AMD Ryzen 5 processor.
Both slim laptops only have 16-24GB of RAM, with the 16GB version being the standard RAM and the 24 Gb being the upgrade.
The slim versions' GPU also took a step down, with the Legion Slim 7i receiving an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 - 3070 laptop GPU, while the Legion Slim 7 is equipped with AMD Radeon RX6600S - RX6800S GPUs.
Also, while the regular laptops weigh less than 2.5 kg, the slim versions weigh around 2.05 kg, making the slim version more portable than the regular ones.
