TikTok's new Live Subscription service gives creators more options to earn money as it launches its beta testing to a select number of users this week.
The Chinese-based video sharing service, TikTok, has been widely popular with the young audience with countless trending videos popping out every day, which continues to captivate millions of users.
However, aside from viewing an endless number of viral videos, thanks to the doom scrolling phenomenon, some TikTok users are also making money from the massively popular social media platform as the community continues to grow extensively.

As such, TikTok is introducing a new monetization option for its growing list of creators. The video-sharing platform also touts that it should allow them to further foster relationship with their audience.
As per a news story by The Verge, the video sharing service introduces a Twitch-like subscription option, wherein viewers are required to shell out some money to watch their favorite live streamers.
Although Twitch primarily focuses on gaming content, it has also expanded into other niches, which fall under its "just chatting" category.
TikTok now appears to be introducing its Twitch-like service aptly called "Live Subscription."
The subscription service is rolling out to some users of the giant social media platform beginning on May 26. But it is still testing out the waters as it would exclusively be in the beta stage for the meantime.
TikTok's Live Subscription Service: What To Expect
Even though Live Subscription is only available to select users, the China-based firm still laid out the exciting features of the upcoming service.
According to a recent report by Social Media Today, the new offering gives subscribers a few options to interact with other users and their favorite creators. There's a subscribers badge, a couple of fancy custom emotes, and a chat exclusive for paying followers.
TikTok further explained that its new feature is "an extension of our efforts to build diversified creator monetization opportunities that suit a range of creator needs."

The Verge notes that the social network has been offering its users a couple of monetization options, mostly benefiting those with a massive following and millions of viewers.
TikTok recently allowed eligible creators to earn from the ad revenue on their clips. On top of that, there is also an option to directly get "Gifts" from their viewers.
Meanwhile, Live Subscription seeks to give its creators a more straightforward means of earning money from the platform through monthly fees.
TikTok boasts that it essentially gives creators a "predictable monthly income."
