The Scene That Sparked Some Passionate Reactions From TikTok Users

Here's a little warning, if you haven't watched the movie yet, there might be some spoilers in this article. One thing that you have to know is the movie's main antagonist is Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch, who Elizabeth Olsen plays.

In the movie, Wanda wants to live permanently with "her" children, twin boys Tommy and Billy, who exist in other universes.

To temporarily take over the body of a different Wanda in another reality, Wanda uses a dark magical ability called dreamwalking. The children that belong to that Wanda don't realize what's happened, and they call their mother over to show her something.

It turns out to be an incredibly off-tune duet about ice cream.

"We like ice cream, like every child should. We promise to be good," Tommy and Billy belt in unison, hoping to convince Wanda to give them ice cream.

The short scene got mixed and intense reactions from viewers, with some users calling it the "worst song ever" and "the cringiest song ever heard."

TikTok Users Mixed Reactions to the Song

One user wrote in TikTok, "Me leaving AMC after hearing the worst duet ever in cinematic history." The post got 270,000 likes. A TikTok sound used in the video dubs it the worst song ever.

Another TikTok user posted a video clip from the AMC show "Breaking Bad" with text that says, "The writers of 'Doctor Strange' crafting the cringiest song I've ever heard."

However, there are other users who have come to the kids' defense. "This scene was fine, and kids do that lol," wrote one user in the comments.

Another user wrote that it wasn't even bad. "Zero hate directed towards the child actors. They had to do what was needed to secure the bag," wrote another TikTok user.

TikTok is a Chinese short-form video hosting service owned by ByteDance.

The platform hosts a variety of short-form user videos, from genres like pranks, stunts, tricks, jokes, dance, and entertainment, with durations from 15 seconds to ten minutes.

It was launched in 2017 for iOS and Android in most markets outside mainland China. However, it became available worldwide only after merging with another Chinese social media service, Musical.ly, on August 2, 2018.

Within TikTok, a variety of trends have risen, which include memes, lip-synced songs, and comedy videos.

Duets have sparked many of these trends. It is a feature that allows users to add their own video to an existing video with the original content's audio.
