Avengers Campus Opening in Disneyland Paris: Watch Iron Man's Announcement Here!

Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans, assemble! Disneyland Paris will soon open its own Avengers Campus later this year, and on the amusement park's 30th anniversary, no less!

Disneyland Paris recently announced that the Avengers-inspired theme park would be opening on July 20 through a YouTube video, which has Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man (or his voice at least) as its presenter.

MCU fans can expect a lot of Avengers-themed activities that are meant to train "the next generation of heroes," as the reveal video puts it.

Disneyland Paris Avengers Campus Attractions

According to Disneyland Paris' webpage for its upcoming theme park, Marvel's Avengers Campus will open on July 20, and it will feature interactive and not-so interactive rides, attractions, and Avengers-themed restaurants and stores.

For starters, Disneyland Paris' Avengers Campus has the "avengers Assemble: Flight Force," a rollercoaster ride of sorts that lets park goers "team up with Iron Man and Captain Marvel to help them save the world from an intergalactic threat."

This particular ride has a minimum height requirement of 1.2 meters or around 3.93 feet.

Another ride, the "Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure," allows park goers to join Marvel's friendly neighborhood Spider-man in an action-packed mission while using an "innovative new tech" to sling their own web, and catch Spider-Bots before they cause total techno-havoc across the theme park.

The "Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure" ride has no minimum height requirement.

Additionally, the theme park will have on-the-ground activities, such as joining Black Panther, Thor, and their fellow Avengers as recruits to help them save the day, which could happen at any time.

Alternatively, park goers can simply meet their favorite Marvel superheroes as they show off their tech, armor, and their best battle stances, along with seeing them in action for yourself.

Parkgoers-turned-recruits who want to have a "training session" with their favorite heroes can do so at the Campus' training center, according to CNET's interview with Avengers Campus Creative Director Beth Clapperton of Disney Engineering.

The theme park also offers two restaurants that would help charge up recruits' bellies for their next mission. These are Tony Stark's Factory, which offers pizza, pasta, and salad along with a view of the genius playboy philanthropist's inventions, like the Iron Man suits.

Stark's Factory can also serve as a "high-tech workspace" where superheroes can come to "build and repair their gear."

On the other hand, PYM Kitchen offers good-but-unusually-sized food buffet-style, all prepared by chefs using Ant-Man and The Wasp's PYM particle "shrinking and growing" technology.

Of course, recruits can suit up and prep themselves for their heroic missions and training sessions from Mission Equipment, a boutique that features the latest W.E.B and Avengers Campus-related tech, uniforms, and weapons.

Park-goers can also go to the Avengers headquarters where they can hear Tony Stark's AI, F.R.I.D.A.Y, which is the principal character in Disneyland Paris' Avengers Campus.

Similarities With The Avengers Campus In Disneyland California

There are some similarities with the Avengers Campus in Disneyland California, Clapperton said.

Disneyland California's Avengers Campus was the first of the two to be opened, with it being available to the public on June 4, 2021, per Disneyland California's webpage for the theme park.

One of these is Spidey's W.E.B. Adventure being present on both Campuses. However, the difference between the two is that the one in Paris is meant for Disney's multilingual audience.

The architecture of Paris' campus is slightly different pragmatically speaking, so the place is not an exact replica of the California Campus.

Another piece of evidence that the two campuses are not identical is that the "Avengers Assemble: Flight Force" and the Avengers Campus training center are exclusive to the Paris Campus.
