One of the most popular "Evil Dead" characters could be making an appearance in the Ash vs. Evil Dead video game soon.
A dataminer that goes by the Twitter handle @LeaksofSumeria have recently revealed that "Evil Dead's" Ruby might soon be one of the game's playable villains in the Evil Dead: The Game video game.
Aside from Ruby, @LeaksofSumeria was able to find references to Ruby's demon spawn, as well as other heavy weaponry in the game's files, per The Gamer.
Ruby's Possible Appearance In Evil Dead: The Game
According to @LeaksofSumeria's Twitter posts, the game has audio files containing the voice lines, individual jokes, and quips of the game's main characters when taking down Deadites and demons.
However, the characters alluded to in the voice lines have yet to make an appearance due to them being cut or are due to arrive in the future, per Games Radar.
One of the characters alluded to in the voice lines is Ruby, one of the main antagonists from the "Ash vs. Evil Dead" TV Series. Although her exclusion from the base game is a mystery due to the character's prominence in the TV series, she could be added into the game through a DLC, along with her Demon Spawn, which already has in-game models.
Rumors and speculations mentioned that Ruby could be placed in one of the three character slots on the survivors' team and a spot on the demon team. However, it is unclear if Ruby will be on the Survivor or Demon team, considering we only have voice lines to depend on at this moment.
Despite the uncertainty, Ruby being present on both the survivors' and villains' roster makes sense. Fans of the "Evil Dead" film may remember that Ruby teamed up with main protagonist Ash during the film's events.
Other Datamined Evil Dead: The Game Content
Aside from Ruby's probable future appearance in the game, @LeaksofSumeria also mentioned that players could soon get to enjoy a future single-player mission called "Adios Eligos."
If the leaks are accurate, the mission consists of exorcising Kelly from Eligos at El Brujo's Hut using a collection of Chickens, Leeches, and Holy Water to do so, the dataminer explained. After which, Eligos will be exorcised from Kelly, and players will get to fight Eligos themselves.
To help defeat Eligos and get through the game's many challenges, players may also get a perk that allows them to use a whole class of heavy weapons in the future, which may include a minigun, a flamethrower, and a harpoon gun.
These weapons seem to have nearly finished models, so it's unclear why they were removed during the game's development. It could be that the game's developer, Saber Interactive, wants the perk and the heavy weapons to be released in a future DLC, but that is also speculation.
