Apple's new AirPods Pro 2 gets an improved noise cancellation and flaunts an overall better audio quality thanks to the all-new H2 chip.
The iPhone maker finally introduced the next-generation AirPods Pro during its "Far Out" event, which also introduced the iPhone 14 lineup.
But does the all-new AirPods Pro support the lossless Apple Music audio that its fans have been waiting?
Apple AirPods Pro 2's Improved Noise Cancellation
As per the latest news by The Verge, the Cupertino-based tech giant touts that its newly introduced AirPods Pro 2 now offers a significantly improved noise cancellation.
It is worth noting that while the Transparency mode of the first-ever AirPods Pro stands out among their close rivals, the same could not be said for their noise cancellation capabilities.
The Verge notes in its report that offerings from other wireless earbuds from Bose and Sony are way better in canceling the noise.
But this time, it looks like Apple is working to catch up. The renowned tech behemoth touts that the new AirPods Pro cancels "up to twice as much noise" compared to their older sibling.
Besides the better noise cancellation, the iPhone maker also boasts that its new wireless earbuds offer improved sound quality.
To be less vague, the Cupertino giant says that its pair of earbuds now has a "richer bass." Not to mention it could provide a "crystal-clear sound across a wider range of frequencies."
The second-generation AirPods Pro also introduced new handy functionality, allowing users to turn up or down their volume by swiping the stem.
The improvements do not end there. Apple says it also sports a longer battery life of up to six hours when using the active noise cancellation.
How Much is it Priced?
But all of these features come with a hefty price tag.
The new Apple earbuds retail for $249, which will be available for pre-orders starting September 9. Meanwhile, the tech giant would begin shipping these before the month ends or on Sept. 23, to be more exact.
It is to note that the AirPods Pro 2 shared the same pricing as the first generation when it debuted in October 2019 for $249.
Do the New AirPods Pro Support Lossless Music?
Now that Apple has made it clear that it has improved the noise cancellation and overall sound quality. The question is: do the new Apple earbuds finally support lossless audio?
According to a report by Mac Rumors, the all-new H2 chip appears to still skip on lossless music support. However, Apple has yet to confirm if this is actually the case. But it never mentioned it anywhere during its launch.
