Blizzard Pulls Out Torbjörn, Bastion From Some Overwatch 2 Game Modes

Overwatch 2 was released on October 4, and it has not been without problems. Players have been complaining about issues ranging from server stability to automatic skin purchases. What the players are mad about the most is that Blizzard did not fix major bugs before release.

There have been reports of character glitches like the damage-dealer Mei rubberbanding. There are not many complaints since Mei is not used by many players. As for Torbjörn and Bastion, the bug is so bad they had to remove both from some of the game modes, according to Kotaku.

Removing Champions From the Roster

Torbjörn and Bastion have been removed from the roster not because of bugs that make them difficult to play, but because the issues with the two champions have made them overpowered.

With Bastion's glitch, you can fire the Artillery endlessly, making him a formidable champion in Overwatch 2. Before the character was taken down, players can do this by firing two missiles. Players have to press the Attack and Ultimate buttons at the same time before releasing the final one.

As for Torbjörn, his overload ability can last twice as long if the player's timing in pressing the button is right. This means that the champion can run quicker, and both deal and receive more damage.

Somehow, Blizzard removed access to 11 other champions despite the player having unlocked it beforehand. These characters include Doomfist, Sigma, Wrecking Ball, Ashe, Echo, Mei, Sombra, Symmetra, Zenyatta, Kiriko, Baptiste, and Brigette.

Other Bugs to Watch Out For

Blizzard has fixed some of the major Overwatch 2 bugs. Players can now use Social UI to invite their friends, Match History and Replays are now back in the Career Profile, and fixes have been released for most of the LC-208 errors. Still, a lot of them remain.

Players have encountered problems with merging their console and PC accounts. When they do attempt to do so, Unexpected Server Error messages appear. This is due to the slow-paced transfer of items from the original Overwatch to Overwatch 2.

Some players have reported that their friends list are nowhere to be found. Players receive the Fuji Skin even if they bought Kiriko's Tanpopo Skin.

There are also those who claim that they fall off the map when they spawn in the Bounty Hunter Arcade mode, according to Windows Central.

Players can get a black screen when they press Alt + Tab, and the only way to fix it is to close the game and relaunch it.

Maps like Numbani, Necropolis, Illinois CTF, and Temple of Anubis are temporarily disabled so Blizzard may work through the bugs.

Workshop text HUDs are not visible, and Workshop Green Screen and Workshop Island and incorrect maps could break existing codes.

You may have to start over for Hero Unlock challenges since there are instances when they fail to progress in Total Mayhem.

Players may lose the skins and other cosmetics they have already purchased in Overwatch 2, but not to worry, the items will return once the developers resolve the problems that concern them.
