If you're looking for rare NES games to either play or collect, your time has come.
A Twitter user has recently spotted two unreleased, never-before-seen NES games to have been listed on eBay as part of two separate auctions, piquing the attention of video game preservation fans and NES collectors alike.
Game preservation fans are currently raising funds to win both auctions to preserve them for posterity and share their content with the public.
eBay Rare NES Games Listing Details
Frank Cifaldi, the Twitter user in question and the founder and co-director at the Video Game History Foundation, recently tweeted that there are "two, unreleased, one-of-a-kind, never-digitized" games for the original NES on eBay.
One of the two games is Broderbund's The Battlefields of Napoleon, which puts the player in the shoes of one of Napoleon Bonaparte's officers and orders his army of 254 men strong during his greatest campaigns on all the major battlefields of Europe, according to the game's summary, per Gizmodo.
According to The Verge, the development of The Battlefields of Napoleon reached a point where it was about to be released. It even received its finalized box art.
However, it was canned before it was released to the public for an unknown reason.
The other game, which was a demo for a Nintendo Power Glove developed by Rare, was a Consumer Electronics Show sample that, like The Battlefields of Napoleon, didn't get to see the light of a retailer, per Nintendo Life.

Former programmer Paul Byford described the Nintendo Power Glove game as a puzzle game that required the player to make different gestures to complete tasks. These gestures include punching rocks and turning keys.
Meanwhile, the game's cursor appeared as a disembodied hand on the television screen.
The game consists of only one level due to its purpose - it was meant to serve as a gauge if such a game could generate enough interest from retailers.
Cifaldi mentioned that the owner of The Battlefields of Napoleon was a former developer who worked on the games that held onto the game since it was developed but decided to put it up for auction for an unknown reason.
Meanwhile, the Nintendo Power Glove Game was put to auction by the wife of its game designer for unknown reasons as well.
Cifaldi is currently reaching out to all video game preservation fans to raise the funds he needs to win both auctions and preserve the game. Should Cifaldi win, the game's content will be made available to the public.
As of press time, The Battlefields of Napoleon is currently worth $5,100 at auction, per Eurogamer. There is no word on how much the Nintendo Power Glove game is worth yet.
