Here eight horror comedies that stretch the boundaries of humor and horror through parodies and ridiculous storylines that may be unintentionally funny:

'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' (2021)

"Ghostbusters: Afterlife" is a nostalgic trip for generations who fell in love with the original Ghostbusters movies, according to Ghostbusters' official website.

Its story follows Callie, a single mother, and her children Trevor and Phoebe as they move from the city to a broken-down middle of nowhere.

Callie is the daughter of former Ghostbuster Egon Spengler, who died and left hundreds of tools, gadgets and Ghostbusting paraphernalia that will send fans on a trip down memory lane.

Although stuffed with references, inside jokes, and reverence for the original Ghostbusters movies, "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" puts an emphasis on the new generation in the neighborhood.

'Addams Family Values' (1993)

"Addams Family Values" is a classic comical Gothic horror film that features the Addams Family, a group of lovable misfits, and their journey after matriarch Morticia gives birth to Pubert.
