Shazam Now Offers Artists' Wallpapers for iPhone, Apple Watch

Users can customize their iPhone and Apple Watch with the exclusive wallpapers from their favorite artists.

To customize iPhone's wallpaper, all you have to do is to save the image in the Photos app. Once it is saved in your iPhone, you can now set it as the default wallpaper.

Since Shazam makes use of an API introduced with watchOS 7, "setting up the Apple Watch wallpaper is a bit more intuitive."

According to 9to5Mac, to change the wallpaper in the Apple Watch, "Shazam uses the Photos watch face with the image you've chosen."

One of the first artists to add his exclusive wallpapers to Shazam is singer Tai Verdes. He used the app to promote his "HDTV" tour.

The "Exclusive Downloads" will appear full of free wallpapers once the user open the artist page in the app. You will also find the watch faces there.

Users will see a preview of the wallpaper and how it will appear on the lock screen of the iPhone on the app. In addition, there's also a preview on how it will look on Apple Watch.

The Shazam app allows you to identify the song playing on the radio or on your car by just opening the app, according to The Verge.

Afterwards, all you have to do is stick your phone in the air. Your phone will listen to song, and show the title and artist after a while.

Since Apple acquired the app, Shazam became ad-free for users. Later on, Apple incorporated the song-identification feature into iOS.

Apple Adds More New Updates in Shazam Recently

According to CNBC, Shazam works even without opening the app. If a song is playing and you want to know it, all you have to do is swipe down on your iPhone then use a button to identify it.

The music-recognition service is integrated in iPhone and iPad. While there is a Shazam app that you can install, you can also use it without installing it.

Simply open Settings on your iPhone then tap Control Center. Once you open the Control Center, just find Music Recognition and tap the Plus Button next to it.

By doing that, you should be able to include the music recognition function in the Control Center of your phone. With that, you can simply swipe down on your iPhone and tap the music recognition button whenever you wish to identify a song.

This should work for iPhone running on iOS 14.2 and later. According to The Verge, even if you're listening through your headphones, Shazam should still work.

In addition to the new wallpapers, Apple seems to be adding more new updates in Shazam recently. Earlier this month, Apple introduced a new feature for Shazam in iPhone and iPad.

The new feature allow the songs identified using Siri to be added to both the Shazam App library and the Music Recognition History. An iOS 16 is required to be able to use this functionality.
