5 Zombie Movies on Netflix You Should Watch

If you're looking for movies to watch on Halloween, or you're just a fan of horror movies in general, then here are a couple of zombie-themed horror movies you should check out.

1. 'Army of the Dead'

As suggested by Esquire, "Army of the Dead" is a zombie-themed movie that in a way, is different from others. Instead of a post-apocalyptic setting, it's actually just a normal world, for the most part. The zombies in the movie are isolated in what used to be the sin city, Las Vegas.

What's interesting about the premise, other than their mission, is that the zombies are unlike what you usually see in movies. The undead in the film is somewhat aware and conscious, sometimes even making logical decisions. What's scarier than a zombie that's out to eat you? A sentient, nearly impossible-to-kill zombie who's out to kill you.

2. 'Cargo'

If you're into the jump-scare type of zombie movies, then "Cargo" is not a movie to pick. But, you should give it a chance, and you might like it. According to Paste Magazine, the movie leans more into a "moody" and "atmospheric" vibe instead of just flat out terrifying. It has broken zombie movie norms, which was surprisingly written well.

In the movie, you'll journey with a father played by The Hobbit actor, Martin Freeman. Watch as he tries to pass through all the obstacles and get his family to safety.

3. '#Alive'

The Korean movie has kind of like a comedic beginning. It shows a video game live-streamer so invested in his games he didn't even notice that the world was turning upside down. The streamer was locked in his apartment as the infected runs rampant in the streets, and his apartment building.

4. 'Zombieland'

The movie starring Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson is really more of a comedy than horror, depending on how you see it. Although, it has a perfect balance of laughs and scares if you don't feel like diving into the horrific rabbit hole of zombies.

The gang named after cities like Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock, travel through the road looking for a zombie-free place they can call home. Columbus, played by Jesse Eisenberg, follows a list of rules like "double tap" and "beware of bathrooms" to survive the apocalypse.

5. 'Resident Evil: Afterlife'

If you have any of the games in the Resident Evil video game franchise, then you might just enjoy this. "Resident Evil: Afterlife" is the fourth movie in the movie franchise of six, as suggested by Men's Health. The main protagonist, Alice, is the only person who bonded with the T-Virus successfully.

The Umbrella Corporation has been hunting her, so they could study why the T-Virus isn't turning her into a cannibal undead. Matched with awesome combat skills and additional superhuman strength brought by the virus, she shoots through a crowd of zombies like it's her job.
