The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander has been officially unveiled by the Japanese automaker during the Chicago Auto Show.
The latest addition to Toyota's SUV lineup, the 2024 Grand Highlander is a mid-sized SUV with three row. For those who value having a lot of space inside their vehicle, this perfectly fits the bill as "the new model is longer and wider, with even more room for third-row passengers and their cargo," according to a report by CNET.
Pricing, on-sale date, and other detailed specs are set to be revealed later this year.
Here are five things you should know about the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander.
Offered in Three Grades
Toyota has announced that the 2024 Grand Highlander is offered in three grades. The entry-level grade is the XLE, while the more upscale grades are the Limited grade and the Platinum grade.
As previously mentioned, official pricing details have yet to be announced. However, Car and Driver estimates the XLE grade to cost around $43,000. The Limited grade is estimated to be cost $45,000, while the Platinum grade is estimated at $51,000.
Three Engine Options
There are also three engine options that interested buyers can choose from. First, there's the base 2.4-liter turbocharged gas engine. For those looking for a hybrid option, there's a 2.5-liter hybrid engine.
Lastly, there is also 2.4-liter turbocharged combustion engine with dual electric motors.
Space and Comfort
We have also already mentioned that the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander features more room for third-row passengers. According to CNET, this is thanks to the additional six inches of legroom for the third row that has been added, which will make seating in that row more comfortable for fully-grown adults . For context, the Toyota Highlander has a standard legroom of 28 inches.
Those looking for more space and comfort and would prefer to have a seven-seater instead of an eight-seater, Car and Driver points out that the second row bench seats can be swapped out for captain seats.
