iPhone 15 wanters may have a few more reasons to get its Pro version.
3D renders of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro's design seemingly confirms it comes with several design details that set it apart from its standard versions.
Apple has yet to release a definite release date for its iPhone 15 model lineup, though Tom's Guide predicts that the company will release it sometime in September.
iPhone 15 Pro Design Details
Several of 9to5Mac's trusted sources reportedly revealed images and details to the publication that seemingly uncovered more about the design of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro.
According to the leaked images and details, the phone will have an all-new casing, a bigger camera bump, thinner bezels, replaced buttons, and a brand-new colorway. It would also come with a new deep red color with the hex code 310D0D, a color known by the name "Dark Sienna," per Android Authority.
Let's start with the specifics. The images and design leaks show that the iPhone 15 Pro has a new titanium frame with a rounder-edged design with subtle, rounded edges; it addresses users' complaints about the current iPhone's sharp edges.
Meanwhile, the camera bump on the iPhone 15 is thicker, but it could be due to the phone's protruding lenses. The phone's CAD files show that the individual lens protusion has more than doubled from the iPhone 14 Pro's cameras, which many people found enormous.
The iPhone 15 Pro, like the rest in its lineup, will feature USB-C ports that have a unique metal surround with a ribbed texture, although Apple will be limiting its Apple-certified USB-C cables to the fastest charging phones in the lineup.
As for the mute and volume buttons, Apple allegedly replaced them with solid-stare haptic buttons that would emulate a button press when interacted with. According to a MacRumors article about the Apple Watch in 2018, solid-state buttons improve an iPhone's water resistance, along with the bonus of taking less internal space, leaving more for other components.
The leaks also showed that the iPhone 15 Pro's bezels would continue the trend of getting smaller bezels, with the device having a 1.5 millimeter bezels that transition seamlessly into the titanium frame of the device.
Last but not least: the iPhone 15 would be slightly smaller than the iPhone 14 Pro - its alleged measurements are as follows: 70.46mm by 146.47mm with a thickness of 8.24mm.
iPhone 15 Release Date
Apple has yet to reveal when it would release its Phone 15 lineup, nor has it released official information about the design of its upcoming iPhones. However, many publications like Tom's Guide and MacRumors believe that the company will introduce the iPhone 15 to the world in September, as it is Apple's traditional launch timeline.
The iPhone 14 officially launched in Apple's physical and online stores on Sept. 16, 2022, while its introduction was on Sept. 7. As such, it is possible that the tech giant would release its iPhone 15 lineup sometime between Sept. 6 and Sept. 15.
