To capitalize on the features and capabilities of Samsung's Onyx Cinema LED screens, Pixar decided to master the film in 4K theatrical HDR, showcasing not only the screen's capabilities but also Pixar's bright, sharp, rich, and detailed imagery. It also decided to pair its reach with Samsuns's visual technology expertise, resulting in "the largest cinema LED prescence of any brand in the theatrical space."

"Elementals" isn't the only Pixar movie getting such a treatment from the Academy Award-winning animation studio. Pixar plans to continue mastering 4K HDR content for Samsung Onyx to ensure that audiences can watch their movies the way its creators intended for the best possible experience.

Disney Pixar's 'Elementals' Production Details

Disney Pixar's "Elementals" is a technological marvel of art in and of itself, if effects supervisor Stephen Marshall is to be believed. According to the statement he gave to The Walt Disney Company's post, he and the team used technology they never used before to produce the film and make Ember and Wade appear to be made out of fire and water, respectively, such as Machine Learning.

Additionally, Pixar had to upgrade and buy more computers to make "Elemental." According to Pixar Post, Pixar used over 151,000 cores for the film in three large rooms on the Pixar campus - more than "Toy Story," "Monsters, Inc.," and "Finding Nemo's" combined.
