We don't really know whether the Zuckerberg vs. Elon Musk fight will actually happen. First, the two taunt each other through social media, then Zuckerberg says he's not sure it will come together. Now, the Meta CEO is saying yet again that he is ready for the fight.
Zuckerberg Goads Musk
It looks like Mark Zuckerberg cannot wait for the match to happen. After all, it's always hectic for CEOs of tech giants. Through Threads, he teases Musk by taking shots at Twitter, now X, and letting everyone know that he is "ready today," while his opponent hasn't confirmed.
This was in response to a screenshot of Musk saying that he is lifting weights throughout the day as he prepares for the fight. The Tesla CEO adds that he didn't have time to work out, so he just brings them to work, as shown in The Verge.
When the X owner posted that the fight will be live-streamed in X and that the earnings will go to charity for veterans, Zuckerberg took a shot at X saying that they should use a "more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity."
Meta platforms have built-in fundraising features while X does not. As if that weren't enough, Zuckerberg continued to taunt Musk by replying "funding secured" when asked if the livestream was mutually agreed upon, in reference to Musk's Tesla tweet that got him in legal trouble.
People who are expecting the fight soon might wait a little longer. According to the Tesla CEO, the exact date is "still in flux" due to medical problems, saying that he is getting an MRI of his neck and upper back tomorrow.
He also stated that he might need surgery before the fight can happen and that he will know this week. If that's the case, then those who are anticipating a fight will have to wait a lot longer since recovery from surgeries takes a while.
Who Are You Betting On?
Musk admitted that there will be instances where one or the other would come out on top. The X owner says he might win if the fight is short, while Zuckerberg might get the upper hand when it comes to endurance, pointing out that there are MMA weight divisions for a reason.
With the news of Musk's medical condition, it's looking more and more like Zuckerberg might win the fight, but people should not dismiss the X owner just yet. Even with training, Zuckerberg might have trouble taking Musk down due to his size alone.
As Musk pointed out, he might not be able to match Zuckeberg's endurance, especially since the latter is younger than him. The Meta CEO has also been training for a while, which means that his capacity for a longer fight is much higher than Musk's.
Either way, people are excited about the fight regardless. Two tech billionaires hashing it out in a cage match is entertaining, after all. Plus, the proceeds will be given to charity, so more than one good thing is coming out of the fight.
