OpenAI is debuting some changes with ChatGPT by allowing users to prompt the AI bot by speaking aloud or by uploading an image.
Image and Voice Command Prompt Release
According to OpenAI, the new feature will be released on users who pay for ChatGPT in the next two weeks. Meanwhile, others would have to wait for an undisclosed time yet before it rolls out to everyone.
To use the voice chat, just tap the the button, state your prompt, and wait for the ChatGPT to convert the question into text and process it to the LLM. The AI bot will then get an answer and convert it back to speech making it seem like a conversation.
On the other hand, the image prompt works just the same by uploading a picture and combining it with a text prompt. From exploring daily activities or needing help to analyze a complex graph, ChatGPT can handle it. In addition, a drawing tool will be provided to the mobile app version in case the user needs to focus on a specific part of the image.
OpenAI Works Toward Useful and Safe Usage
While OpenAI aims to further develop the power of their AI, the company also noted that potential risks of their services. "However, these capabilities also present new risks, such as the potential for malicious actors to impersonate public figures or commit fraud," OpenAI wrote on a blog.
In addition OpenAI also assured that they have taken "technical measures" to limit ChatGPT's ability to analyze statements about people highlighting their respect to individuals' privacy.
