Apple enthusiasts, heads up!
Apple is gearing up to release new iPad and MacBook models early next year.
The iPhone maker is preparing to launch a bigger iPad Air, the long-rumored iPad Pro OLED, and an upgraded version of the MacBook Air this coming spring, Bloomberg reported.
According to reports, the new iPad Air will have a 12.9-inch screen to accompany the original 10.9-inch model. This will be iPad Air's first major redesign since 2018.
The release will follow after Apple's launch of its new Apple Pencil.
As for the MacBook Air, the device will be equipped with Apple's new M3 processor that was just recently released as part of the updated 14-inch MacBook Pro in October.
Apple expects the release to boost the company's sales in the next year's opening.
Apple M3 Chipset Specs: Performance, Power, and Issues
The recently released M3 chipset is Apple's answer to the growing demand for powerful processors in mobile devices.
Equipped with an 8-core CPU, the M3 processor is capable to perform 35% faster than the M1 units. The M3 processors come in three forms: the regular M3, the M3 Pro, and the M3 Max.
The M3 Pro works on an 18-core GPU, while the Max version runs with a 40-core GPU to be 50% faster than the M1 Max.
This makes the chipset suited for "powerful AI image processing" uses, including noise reduction, super-resolution, and improved performances for Adobe Premiere and Smart Conform in Final Cut Pro.
All versions of the processor are also now more energy efficient with a battery life of 22 hours, thus "less time needing to be plugged in and less energy consumed over its lifetime."
However, the M3 chipset requires the use of 3nm silicon to operate. The 3nm has been known for heating issues as it has shown in the iPhone 15 line.
Several phone manufacturers have already installed modern technologies in their devices to mitigate hardware damage from excessive heating.
Apple Devices Release Dates for 2023
Apple is rumored to be gearing up for a lot of devices and gadgets for next year, in addition to its annual installments.
Most popular of all is the iPhone 16 scheduled to arrive in September.
Other than iPhone, more variations of iPads, MacBooks, and an Apple Watch are predicted to come out sometime next year.
