7 Kinds of Light Fixtures You Can Install For Your Home

If you're in the middle of building your home, you should already think about what kind of lighting you would want to install as they are built into the house before it's finished. There are various kinds of light fixtures you can use, and some are more fitting in certain rooms than others.

This is the most common lighting you'd find in households. They're the kind that are built into the ceiling. One of the perks of these fixtures is that you won't have to clean them very often unlike other lightings that might gather dust over time. The downside is that it would be harder to replace its bulbs since it's too high to reach without a ladder or a chair.

2. Pendant Lights

Another one that's normally found in a home is pendant lighting, which are fixtures that are hanging by some kind of line. Since they hang lower than recessed lights, you'll find it easier to change the bulbs. They are usually positioned over places that require bright lighting such as dining tables or kitchen counters. They can also be used to add style to the room.

This is becoming more common in modern architecture, so maybe you might want to add it to your home as well. It's usually done by placing LED strips in the recessed edges of your ceiling. This way, the strip itself will be hidden and not look tacky. This gives off more of an ambient light, so it's ideal to use them for bedrooms and living rooms.

4. Wall Sconce

After all, there are several designs that look pretty enough to just be a decoration on the wall. This will add substance to your walls especially if you don't plan on hanging any other decorative elements.
