Fitbit teased an upcoming partnership with SoulCycle that is expected to launch on January 22.
The speculation started after Fitbit posted on X a "Get ready to ride" message along with a SoulCycle bicycle wheel logo and a date.
Fitbit Users Anticipate New Integration With SoulCycle
9to5Google reported that the collaboration could possibly be virtual SoulCycle classes in the Fitbit Premium. Moreover, it could also lead to a Fitbit integration with SoulCycle equipment during physical classes or using the SoulCycle at-home bike.
Nothing has been confirmed and announced yet aside from the teaser. However, the event could be something bigger than expected due to its teaser. Previously, Fitbit did the same preparations as part of the announcement of the Charge 6 last September.
Fitbit currently offers real-time heart rate streaming to gym equipment like NordicTrack, Peloton, Concept2, and Tonal. The recent 4.06 update also revealed that users are now able to manually log their body temperature readings from their own thermometer.
Fitbit Faces Reorganization Amid Updates
Earlier this week, it was reported that Google has been reorganizing the engineering and hardware divisions of the company. This affected directly the members of Fitbit which previously had independent teams for various aspects.
The reorganizing entails that Google will be switching to a functional organizational model wherein there will be only one team to work with the hardware engineering across different devices.
As a resort, Fitbit co-founders James Park and Eric Friedman, along with other Fitbit leaders, have resigned from their posts at Google.
