Willy Wonka Experience Actor Reveals AI-Generated Script
According to the attendees, aside from not living up to the expectations of the event, the actors were using AI-generated scripts. In addition, the actors also had to ration sweets without any chocolate despite the event's premise.
"The script was 15 pages of AI-generated gibberish of me just monologuing these mad things," comedian and actor Paul Connell recalled getting cast at the event as Willy Wonka. He also shared that the script had an "Unknown" villain that was never related to the original story.
Several videos on the internet showed an entirely made-up character that never appeared in Roald Dahl's books or any film adaptations. Some attendees called the experience "traumatizing" with some people seen crying from the disastrous event.
The bizarre actors also found themselves the subject of memes across social media platforms.
Willy Wonka Experience Cancels Event After Opening Day
The House of Illuminati, responsible for hosting the event, canceled the event midway during its opening day. Several customers made complaints on the internet and called the attention of the police.
According to the reports, attendees paid around $45 per ticket for the event which was falsely advertised using an AI-generated poster. The organization had already issued a statement addressing the complaints, citing that refunds are already being processed.
"I'm really shocked that the event had fallen short of the expectations of people on paper. My vision of the artistic rendition of a well-known book didn't come to fruition. For that I am absolutely truly, and utterly sorry," organizer and director of the House of Illuminati Billy Coull stated.
