Video game enthusiasts keep a close eye on events to make sure they have the latest news on updates and releases, which is why it came as good news when Ubisoft finally announced the official date for its annual event. This June, we might finally hear about anticipated titles and what we can expect.
Ubisoft Forward 2024
Initially expected to take place on June 12th, the event will happen two days earlier than expected on June 10th. Ubisoft said on X that the livestream will come with announcements about updates and upcoming releases.
During the event, the company is expected to reveal details about its upcoming Assassin's Creed video game, which has been codenamed Red. The trailer already confirms that it will be centered around feudal Japan, so we will be seeing samurais and shinobis in the next title.
Hopefully, Ubisoft will also shed light on other upcoming titles from the franchise, which is possible since the company announced that it will put more resources into it. Some of the upcoming Assassin's Creed titles include Hexe, Jade, Invictus, and more.
There might also be news about Assassin's Creed Infinity, as per Engadget, which fans have been anticipating for quite some time. It is said to be a portal where players can go through various Assassin's Creed experiences across different periods established in the franchise.
Other than that, it could potentially come with news about Star Wars Outlaws as well, given that it was given a release window for 2024. As for the FPS multiplayer XDefiant, Ubisoft could finally announce a release window after going through several delays.
Apple's WWDC
Ubisoft is not the only company set to host its annual event on June 10th. Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference will also begin on the same day, and just like the video game company, it has a lot of announcements for the future of Apple.
The event will go on between June 10th to June 14th. While it will be streamed live, there will be an in-person event at Apple Park on opening day. All developers are welcome to join to hear about the upcoming updates for Apple's systems and devices.
For starters, the iPhone maker said that the spotlight will shine on the latest iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS advancements, wherein developers will have access to Apple experts to learn more about new tools, frameworks, and features.
Apple Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations, Susan Prescott says that they are " excited to connect with developers from around the world for an extraordinary week of technology and community at WWDC24."
For those who want to watch the event live, they may do so throughout the week via the Apple Developer app, the Apple Developer website, and YouTube. There will even be video sessions where viewers can engage with Apple designers and engineers.
"WWDC is all about sharing new ideas and providing our amazing developers with innovative tools and resources to help them make something even more wonderful," Prescott expressed. The event might even release new information or upgrades about the Apple Vision Pro hardware.
