Phishing emails claiming to be Netflix have been trying to trick people into entering their personal data in exchange for a free subscription extension for 90 days.
The phishing email has become lucrative and has managed to look legitimate at first glance which could potentially trick people from falling into it.

Phishing Emails Claiming to be Netflix Offers Deal
According to 9to5Mac, the new phishing campaign targets people with Netflix subscriptions. The randomly sent email has the message "Your Membership has Expired," which could easily alarm the users to check the email to prevent cutting their streaming service.
The message also states that Netflix is running a loyalty program that offers them a 90-day extension for free if the user clicks the red button. The "Extend for free" button will direct users to re-enter their personal information such as name, contact numbers, and credit card information.
The domain name from the page does not include Netflix's name at all. Several users have reportedly been receiving the same email a couple of times already.
Netflix Warns Users to Stay Vigilant Against Phishing, Scam
Based on Netflix's help and support page, the streaming company explained that it will never ask for account email, password, or credit and debit card numbers. In addition, the company emphasized that it does not authorize any payment through a third-party vendor or website.
"If the text or email links to a URL that you don't recognize, don't tap or click it. If you did already, do not enter any information on the website that opened," the company wrote.
The best way to prevent falling for phishing and scam emails is to avoid clicking any links or replying to them. If the user has clicked a link or shared their information, it is advisable to change their password immediately.
Account holders are also encouraged to notify their financial institution if they manage to give away their payment information.
