Disney, Hulu, Max Partner for Streaming Bundle Service

In a press release, WBD explained that the streaming bundle aims to offer more content from three massive entertainment libraries in the industry. The companies also see the partnership as a strategy for streaming.

"This new offering delivers for consumers the greatest collection of entertainment for the best value in streaming, and will help drive incremental subscribers and much stronger retention," said JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming and Games, Warner Bros. Discovery.

The apps and content will remain separated. The streaming bundle will soon be accessible on the streaming platform's websites. Like other bundles, it will come with an ad-free and ad-supported plan.

Streaming Giants Come Together to Offer Bundles

Bundling plans have become a common practice in the streaming industry. For instance, Disney+ has previously added Hulu content, bringing a new type of service. As for Hulu, the company had an agreement for add-on subscriptions for Paramount+ With Showtime and Max.

Both Disney and WBD are also working together on another project, including Fox. The streaming sports bundle, which got a lot of attention upon its announcement, is expected to launch this fall.

Meanwhile, even telecom companies have started to bundle their wireless plan with streaming services. T-Mobile has joined Netflix and Apple TV+, while Verizon offers a discounted Disney bundle and Apple One. AT&T has teamed up with Max.

The streaming bundle hype targets to offer more choices to their subscribers and at the same time gives the companies more chances to increase their price.
