Samsung has reportedly succeeded in decreasing the display crease on its Galaxy Z Fold 6 after users of previous models shared concerns about the visible line on the screen.
Display crease has been a constant roadblock for foldable smartphones which forced manufacturers to discover new ways to make it less visible.
Samsung Targets Less Display Crease on Galaxy Z Fold 6
According to reports, Samsung managed to improve the display crease visibility for the next-generation foldable. However, it is safe to say that the feature is not "completely eliminated" but rather reduced compared to existing models.
The tipster failed to disclose how Samsung pulled it off but a previous report showed that the company plans to enhance the Galaxy Z Flip 6's problem by using a thicker form of ultra-thin glass.
The same treatment is expected to be released on the Fold 6. Samsung previously made a better display crease for the Fold 5 compared to the 2019 version of the smartphone but users still saw it as a downside of owning a foldable.
Samsung Preps for Next Galaxy Launch in July
Samsung is reportedly gearing up for its next big launch event. The last Galaxy Unpacked event was on January 21 which introduced the Galaxy S24 Series and Galaxy AI to the customers.
The company has yet to announce the official date but some suggest that it could be held on July 10. The summer launch is expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch 7, new tablets, and more.
In addition, the improved Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 could also make an appearance at the event. The much-awaited debut of the Galaxy Ring is also expected to happen at the event.
