We are up to our ears in live-action adaptations, and most are happy about that. Especially with video games, we get to see what they would look like in live-action. Among the chosen titles is Ghost of Tsushima, which is a popular game based in feudal Japan, and we might be seeing a cast member who already has experience in that scene.

Hiroyuki Sanada in 'Ghost of Tsushima'

Ghost of Tsushima has been a fairly popular PS exclusive with players praising its storyline, gameplay, and graphics. The scenery is a sight to behold and players will experience what it is like to struggle between upholding honor and saving their home.

With the live-action set to happen, we can already imagine what it would look like, and we might even see Hiroyuki Sanada as part of the cast. It's not hard to see why the actor would be a fitting addition, considering that he is already starring in a show that is set in the same period, "Shogun."

While that is exciting news, it's important to note that they are simply rumors, as mentioned in Game Rant. People are certainly hoping for it to be true, as it would mean that the live-action adaptation is already off to a good start.

Hiroyuki Sanada has already proven more than once how his acting and action skills can serve as an added quality to a title. The latest one would be "Shogun," but there are already countless others where we see Sanada show his talent.

No matter how brief, we also saw his capabilities with a katana in "John Wick 4," and he has since been in many other movies with a similar premise such as "The Last Samurai," and "47 Ronin," so it's safe to say that the actor would do more than well.

As for other news about the live-action film, there's not much to go on other than the rumors with casting. It has been a while since the project was first announced in 2021, which will reportedly be headed by "John Wick" director Chad Stahelski.

Jin Sakai Actor Wants to Reprise His Role

You might've heard that the actor for the game's protagonist, Daisuke Tsuji, is more than willing to take on the role of Jin Sakai in the live-action as well, and it would be thrilling seeing as players would be watching a familiar face.

When the live-action movie was first confirmed in 2021, Tsuji joked on X about being cast. "If I get to play Jin in the live action Ghost, let it be known that I fully agree to doing butt nudity," the actor said, and many users were also hoping for him to be cast as the lead.

Of course, he would need to get some training in terms of wielding a katana so that he would have the same grace his character had in the game. In case you don't know, there's already a video where the actor tries his hand with the blade, as shown in Games Radar.
